Monitoring of Stack Emissions, Wastewater, Effluent water, Hazardous Waste, Soil and Noise Laboratory service is essential for monitoring and managing pollution levels across various environmental segments, including air, water, and soil. Laboratory service is contributing to research in environmental science, developing new methods for pollution control and enhancing existing technologies.

Functions

MoEF approved pollution control laboratories perform a wide range of functions:

• Air Quality Monitoring: They measure concentrations of pollutants such as particulate matter (PM10 and PM2.5), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), Carbon Monoxide (CO), and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs).
